Ya, I'll double what he said. And an online vendor doesn't count. Then you need to find someone to mount, balance and all that which will put you at or above what it would cost to buy them from Discount Tire and the like.

These part numbers don't work. Google shows the rears ending with a 2, not a 1, and that also doesn't work.

What are the actual wheel's weights?
We know the 11s will not fit up front but has anyone tried mounting the 10" fronts on the rear? What if we could buy 2 more 10" rims and truly be able to rotate front to back for better tire wear

I've been looking for alternate sizes to use which may be more affordable and strangely enough I found a much larger tire for less money.

What I really want to know is: Will 315/35ZR20 XL110 fit our cars? I'm thinking they'll fit the backs but probably not the fronts. These are only one step up from the stock size on the back of the ZL1.

These tires have a 60,000 mile warranty on them and cost $233 each at Discount tire.

I had one of my tires remounted the other day for a tire repair, so I examined the rim and found these factory chalk marks on the inside of the wheel. I dunno what they mean, but it's interesting. 30 years from now someone will want to restore and place factory looking chalk marks back on it...

I found a thread on the ZL1 forums that lists factory offsets taken from the stamps on the wheels (with pics):
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...factory+offset

Offset: Front: 23mm, Rear: 43mm (stamped on the back side of the wheels)

Hey all!

I did some searching on the site and found the factory offsets. I have deleted the original text and replaced it with a link to the forum which tells the offsets and where to find them.

There is are reasons your 1LE is equipped with the same size tire front and rear with wider rear than front rims.

The 5th Gen is nose heavy and the IRS hugs the road better than the virtual pivot front design. The combination creates massive amount of understeer, push when driven past 7/10ths. We addressed that way back in 2009 by fitting 305/30/19/XL Bridgestone RE-11s on Forgeline 10.5 by 19s all round. The square wheel and tire setup dramatically reduces understeer. For the 1LE the engineers on the Camaro TEAM selected 285/35/20. The rear tires are intended as drive and the fronts as steer. With the extra width in the rear removes some sidewall flex for better drive while the more narrow front allows for more sidewall flex to steer.

The wheel widths, the application are well done. Changing tire sizes without corresponding changes to the wheels will do nothing but degrade the handling of your 1LE. Just so you know, the setup is so good that GM dumbed it down to induce more understeer. The ZL1 uses a 25mm front and 28mm rear sways. That is a pretty neutral setup, or as neutral as an OEM will sell, with staggered wheels and tires. The same bars on a 1LE with the semi square wheels and tires was too neutral so they dumbed it down by adding a larger front 27mm sway bar.

The GYs are also dialed int for the heft of the 5th Gen. The sidewalls are stout. The should tread blocks harder than the super sticky center section. This combination provides durability when run hard on track along with great grip once they are hot.

There are a lot of things you can do to improve the already great handling of the 1LE, but changing from the OEM spec tire and size has to be at the very bottom of the list unless you are fitting Pilot Sport Cups or some other D.O.T. legals slick.

^ So keep the square setup and add bigger bar out back. Gotcha.
