Apparently the Gt500 runs a 10.6

I'm wondering what the standard car runs though. Nobody is paying $18k for the carbon fiber package. Hell, who would spend $100k on a mustang?

Quite a few actually as evidenced by the ridiculous ADMs on Rs.

I'm glad I only car about road course track driving and not 1/4 mile times. Sounds like a monster though.

ADM's on an R is thing of the past. Nobody should be paying ADM on an R if they take the time to search. I paid under MSRP a year ago for my 18 R. Many after me have paid thousands less as well...on an R.

As for the GT500, it appears to be all that and a bag of gummies. But I'll keep my manual roar of the Voodoo and handling. If I was tempted it would be for ZLE manual.

Yah, but it was a real thing of the past for years and some are still asking/getting over MSRP for them. Also they bumped the MSRP up by 5k so many are still in the mid 70s. Great cars, but I'll take my ZLE in the mid 60s price range everytime over a new more expensive R. The Voodoo is nice, but highly overrated IMO in many ways and I was an owner of two GT350s and 3 Voodoo engines. It would have been four had I not dumped my second GT350.

Regardless he asked who would pay 100k and up for a Mustang.

I've had quite a few cars myself. From two Camaros to a Boss to a GT500 to a Hellcat, to the R. I'm still enamored with its overall balance and visceral experience and I bore easily. The exclusivity is nice as well. A year into it and I've seen one other. I admit I don't go to C&C at all tho.

Would I pay $100k for a GT500? No. Not because it's "still just a mustang". Because it's no ordinary mustang. But more of that's not my price range for anything really.

Not to start anything but I see gt350's all the time in Greenwood, IN. I saw two R's on the way into work today which is why I'm commenting as I was kind of shocked. There is a Ray Skillman Roush performance store that I've been told is the largest Roush dealer in the country. Maybe they get a bigger allocation due to performance sales and that's why I see so many local? Regardless, that's what made me lean towards the ZLE (besides power). I have seen 2 ZL1's but no other ZLE's in person. However, like you I don't get out to a ton of cars and coffee or car shows.

Nor am I trying start any pissing contest, just my opinions of course for what I like.

I don't find a GT350R or a ZLE rare IMO. I guess for me there are too many variants of these cars running around and only car dorks like us really know the difference. I also have three regular GT350s that I see regularly and an R occasionally because they live in my area. One up the hill from me.

I saw a Aston Martin DB at a restaurant parking lot and it surprised me. Cars like that, certain Porsche GT cars and of course the exotics I find to be rare IMO.

Production numbers tell the story of what is rare and what isn't. The R has been in production since 2015. There are a little over 3000 in existence. Not "rare" but not seen a whole lot LOL. Most people don't know what their looking at or for to be honest. It's just another mustang...or a 350 if they actually recognize a 350.

Where did you find this info? I have seen info saying it runs 10.6 Zero-100mph, not 1/4mile.

Did someone on the Camaro forum really just type “still just a Mustang”?

Evan smith ran a 10.61, and C&D stated Ford Claims a 10.7 1/4 mile time
