So wait, just so I understand.

The pvc seperator and tube are worth half the value of the 1LE package as a whole?

Scrap the tires, rims, brakes, suspension, steering wheel, transmission, fuel pump, fuel pickups, vinyl hood wrap, and the plaque under the hood,.... but keep the seperator. It IS the most important part after all.

Picked up a never installed new setup from a fellow on Craigslist for 10 bucks the other day. Didn't want to cut the tube on mine for the Z/28 cold air intake if I didn't have to, thinking that was worth the couple hour drive. :-)

Cut my tube for the Z/28 CAI install, add in the required Dorman piece and it makes for a sweet OEM looking & functional set-up.

A dealer like that will try and rotate your tires for you!

It's funny you say that. My brother also has a 1LE and when he went in for his first oil change they tried to do just that. The only reason he found out is because they were asking him about something else and said they had to do whatever that was and rotate the tires and they would be finished.

He flipped out and told them you can't do that on these cars and apparently the tech looked at him dumbfounded.

PS: I installed my "NPP" AOS today.
