Alright guys all these old threads being back to life about the Vararam are making me wonder if it really is a good cai? Although I will admit its no K&N!

Hemp get the ARP's they are reusable and torqueinh them down will be alot easier. GM MLs gaskets are good enough. Might as well get some better lifters while your at it too lol.

I love my vararam too, had it since 2010 no issues.

None of these should be cold air intakes, lol. Nothing cold about them. Gonna be tinkering with the car this week. IAT's are the project. Spinning Maggie hard makes a lot of heat. All cooling temps are picture perfect but the IAT's are 50 degrees above ambient. Putting a a large resivior in trunk today, I'll see what that does. If nothing else it should be good for the track I can pack it with ice. Don't think it's going help though after 20 mins of driving. Trying to avoid meth like the plague. Next step may be a larger heat exchange . Any thoughts would be welcomed.

From what I understand it doesn't work well on "pre blower" applications. If I had a centri or turbo it would be on already. Not looking to add another "system" that I will have to keep an eye on. I have enough OCD issues already. Heard too many horror stories of what happens when meth fails. I would like to exhaust my other options first then if I have to I may add meth, but only if I really have to.
