Federal Evoluzion F60

Anyone running these?

I’m looking to step halfway into track tires. Something around a 200 treadwear. Price point necessitates then ones I’m looking at.

The F60 are a 240AA A
295/30/20
305/30/20

Currently running 2 sets Nitto NT555G2 w 320AA A
285/35/20 with 315/35/20
285/30/20 with 305/30/20
I’m now tearing/shredding/chunking tires apart.

My other option I’m looking at are the
Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar G2
But those are a run flat

It’s a cost issue for now as I have my first year of track days under my belt. Starting to find limits.

I’m not ready to waste my money on full track tires just yet.

Thanks Shu

Shu,
The Goodyear F1 G2's are not runflats. Those were the factory supplied tires for the 1LE and ZL1. They are a very good track tire for most people. I have run through 8 sets of them since 2014. In have one final set left then I'll be switching to something else. I also have a set of the Nitto NT 555G2 and they are not meant for road course or autocross events. They take too long to get hot and then just squeal like crazy. Mine have maybe 1500 miles on them at most and will be recycled soon. Won't make that mistake again. I'm looking at the Yokohama Apex V601 or A052 and the Continental Extreme Sport Contact. They will handle track duty well and rain also, which is good for track use. The Goodyear's get sketchy in the rain especially if there are any puddles. One our 1LE I still run a square 285 setup as a wider rear tire will induce more understeer.
Hope that helps

Thanks.

I could swear the Goodyears G2 say ROF-runonflat.
G3 are not ROF as they are the next generation.

Im not worried about daily driving them. I have 2 sets of wheels. I doubt id do a trackday in wet.

Yeah
Goodyears Eagle F1 Supercar G2 are a ROF tire.

Hopefully someone can give input on the Federals F60’s???

I know the Goodyears are good.

Side note.

Anyone know why Chevy switched sidewall from 35 series on 5th gen to 30 series on 6th gen?

I would assume handling would be better with a lower aspect ratio and there would be a slightly lower ride height as well.

Definitely lower.
But I’m already on lowered BMR springs.
Lap times are about identical seeing as I miss apexes and brake zones.
Plus traffic makes difficult to get solid open runs.

BUT

I am improving.

Pics of both sidewall sizes.
