No I did not notice a soft pedal. The clutch is 3+ yrs old and I have abused it. Have smelled the clutch burning in the past, especially in stop/go traffic where I would be using it a lot.

The very first time I noticed slipping was maybe a couple of weeks back. I was on the freeway doing about 60 in 4th gear. I semi-punched it for a lane change to move around a slower car and it slipped for a second before it caught. I didn't really know what it was so I sort of wrote it off.

Guess I need to take it out and play around with it a bit to make sure it is clutch slip.

Don't really think it is supercharger belt slip. Geeze I don't see how this cog drive could slip but I guess anything is possible.

Clutch

I’m surprised a clutch lasted 3 years with that monster you have caged in front of it.

You must be driving that thing like a baby carage hahahahaha

I honestly don't beat on it too often but when I do, not even the Dos Equis man can keep up.

It normally should slip in higher gears first, I believe the closer it is to 1:1 The less leverage it has and in turn the more grip it needs. I had the McLeod RXT with 617rwhp and when it went, I could still take off in 1st and 2nd, but when I would give her some go juice in 6th it would slip right up the rpms.

Will be hard for us to tell for sure since we aren't there, but obviously thoroughly test and be sure before buying a new one

You had the Mcleod RXT twin disc clutch??

Did you go back with Mcleod or switch to another brand clutch?

Bought the Car with the McLeod RXT and it was basically Toasted when I got it, I know it was raced a lot before me.

I sent it to Mcleod for a rebuild.

The clutch held up fine but I did experience the occasional chatter, which seems to be very rare on the RXT. Ended up selling that Camaro to get my ABM.

I think you are in the Monster triple disc type status though now right?

Story board this thing.... 900rwhp.... IF it ever lets go... you know you are going forged stroker.....etc etc.... might as well buy the clutch once!

I cant discount your point my friend and absolutely the car would be faster with an auto.

But I want a 9 sec manual car just because they are not as common place as 9 sec auto's. Just saying
