I called RPR. Anyone can rent the track for the entire day for $2000 and this is for 5 cars. So if 5 of us get together and chip in $400 each we get the track to ourselves for the day. I would do that in a heartbeat VS waiting in line for 1-1.5 hrs to make a pass.

Any interest?

I don't even have FB but if you would keep your ears open about an upcoming Saturday rental, and if they would let an outsider join the group (at the rental), then I would be in. I have to finish breaking in this new clutch but eventually I want to put the F-1X to the test

RPR website states that the rental fee is $2000 for the first 5 cars and $400 for each additional car, so basically $400/car.

Texas Speed Syndicate must have some sort of deal with RPR because their rentals typically cost ~ $300 ish to participate.

Gents, If we get 5 takers then we each pay $400 and get the track to ourselves all day 10am-4pm. Additional cars may be added at $400 each. All this comes directly from RPP website.

In the meantime, Royal Purple Raceway is having a Test/Tune day on Saturday, Feb 24th from 9am-4pm. You must have either slicks or drag radials to run that day. Tech card is $50 so this will weed out some of the kids.

Weather permitting, I may be trying out the Camaro at this track day. It has to be better than a Friday night, but will still be more crowded than a track rental obviously. Some of you have shown interest about coming to watch an old man make a fool of himself, so I will keep you posted here about whether or not I am going for sure.

I was running 11.8 then added 150 hp and ran 10.5's. Now I have added an additional 150 hp so we will see if I can get to low 10's or maybe even high 9's.

This is a full weight, street registered, stick Camaro and if I can beat 10.1 then I will own the 1st spot on the manual (street registered) list here and that has been one of my goals all along.

I remember how much faster the car felt when I added the last 150 hp and ran the 10.5, and this next 150 hp feels the same way . . . much faster.

I realize that the F-1X is a centri and is supposed to spool up slowly, but honestly guys, it hits just as hard off the go as the Maggie ever did. Guess we will find out in about 3 weeks

Will try to catch one of your runs this year! I'm generally in Houston every other week, but will be back in Dallas that weekend. In London this week and Holland next week.

I need to start working on the suspension and transmission next and want to see your setup for inspiration. LOL!

I like the pyramid! I'm gonna have to borrow that.

I was competing with one of my co-workers last week in Norway to convince a much needed corporate representative to join us for a sales call. My co-workers call is in San Diego and mine is in Fort Worth.

She bribed him with seafood and I bribed him with a big steak dinner. Needless to say the steak dinner won. Steak is a rarity and too expensive in Norway!

There are several versions of the Texas Food Pyramid floating around. I am just a bit partial to this one since it includes Blue Bell
