Thank you man! I greatly appreciate all the encouragement and support from the forum

Aligned the front today, took all the badges off the car, picked up a drum of methanol. Found a new supplier thats $150 cash for 55 gallons with lube. Best part is they're half the distance of the old source

Drove it out and gave it a bath yesterday. Today I added another 3 switch panel and moved some wiring around. Made another timing pointer and verified timing for the new motor. It was 3 degrees off the last one. Got that fixed in the computer.

Let it go a full heat cycle, roughly 20min of idling. Made sure it wasn't going to get hot. Sat about 185 so we should be good there. Dumped the oil and cut the filter apart. The filter was clean as could be so were gonna rock this thing next Wednesday.

Tomorrow all the fittings will be here to fix the leaking power steering return fitting and add the vent to the catch can in the trunk. Then its done

Edit: got everything done and shes ready to go Wednesday. Stoked to see how it does

Went to for track tuning today. 4th pass got valve float, snapped one rocker bolt and backed off half of them. Going to get some stiffer valve springs, arp rocker studs, and send it again.

Also picked up the extreme automatics adjustable servo for the reverse band. Will be able to keep it from creeping on the brake hopefully

It wasn't worth talking about yet. It only trapped 114mph leaving on 5psi.

Talked to bewley on the phone. We decided that it was coil bind on the springs. Theyre shimmed very aggressive and even so not stiff enough.

Ordered the springs and studs. Hoping in a week or 2 to be back at it🤘

Got the extreme automatics adjustable servo in the mail today. Got that installed. Ordered 4 trans filters so waiting on those. Decided to make the switch to ati 30 weight f type. Got 3 gallons of that coming as well. Will add pics of the servo installed tomorrow.

Frankenstein was nice enough to send me 2 new sets of valve seals for free. Thanks Jr. Martinez if you read this.

Now its just a waiting game. Stay tuned guys

Got the pan all sealed back up. New springs showed up today already.. Just waiting on fluid and valve seals. Should be good to go again shortly.

Also replaced the junk vband clamps that come with the headers with some HD vibrant ones.

Ordered the mad racing "cable blaster." Will allow me to use the dash and tune wirelessly without having to use cables

Cable blaster showed up yesterday. Got it all installed and after reaching out to where I bought it from, it will not work with my tablet. It works perfect with my computer though. It needs to be windows based and my tablet is an android. Ill probbably pick up a pi dash shortly.

Valve seals will be here today and I will swap springs as soon as they show up.

Worked on tune a little to help spool. Added timing and leaned it out in the transition areas and up to 10 lbs. This worked well on the previous motor. If all goes well I will know today if it will build boost

Its back together and everything is 100x better. It rolls over easier and spools almost instantly. Will build 25psi in under 2 seconds.

Tuning Wednesday stay tuned

Good news and bad. Good news is that tuning is about done. This was a no prep, water only burnout. So its almost to where we were before on the first real outing with it.

Bad news is its blowing through the converter. It was so bad we had to let it sit to cool for an hour to even get it to shift again. The rpm on the logs looked awful with a 700rpm drop. Gonna dump the 30 weight i just put in it and throw the cheap 40 weight hydraulic in it and take it back out Saturday. With a prepped track, it will for sure set a pb.
