Stolen Stereo Please Help
Please Help....
I had someone steel my sons stereo out of his car we are trying to piece everything back together. They cut the connector off of the wire in the red box. Can anyone help me out with a part name or number for this wire? Last edited by mstokes; 09-04-2013 at 02:36 PM. Reason: No response |

It's likely not as simple as just replacing that wire, as it's most likely part of the main wiring harness. You will likely need to get the wiring schematics and add a new connector to the existing wire..if there is enough wire left.

Yes, that is what I would like to do.
I need to know what the wire is so I can get a new wire with clip to splice. |

Love me some Camaro's!

Wow that is messed up. Hope you get everything back together. You could possibly get a quote from a respectable audio place and just get new upgraded equipment.

Damn they really screwed you there, you going to have to get a new adapter, extend all the wires and figure out the what position the pins have to go in. Maybe someone can help you out and get you a picture or number what color is what position to help you

My suggestion is to contact Offer, "2SSRS" on the site. He has poked around with the wiring harness's for the stereo a lot doing the My Link retro fit. If the connector is available by itself, he will know where to get it from. GM will most likely want to sell you the entire wiring harness.

Wow my heart dropped when I saw that :/ I'm so sorry that happened to you... I know this isn't making things better but if you want the mylink unit it's 1400 on eBay... Will insurance cover theft? I know mine does!

I would price out the harness from GM, may be worth the time and trouble
