Roll bar in a daily driver

I'm waiting to place an order for a 2017 SS 1LE and I'm thinking about installing a roll bar in it so I can use a HANS device and a harness. I know I won't be able to run a 5/6 point harness as I did with full bucket seats on my other cars so I'll have to settle for a 4 point harness that allows your body to lean forward in case of a collision.

Does anyone run a 4 point roll bar in their daily driver? 6 point is most likely not going to be an option since it will increase a risk of injury in a side impact on the street while wearing an OEM 3 point seat belt.

Many driving clubs do not allow four points anymore.
3 points considered to be safer.

Yes, I realize that a regular "tuner" 4 point belts are not safe because they will push your guts up in case of a crash (submarining effect). I was thinking of using Schroth RALLYE ASM harness, but it's still required to be mounted behind the seat harness eyelets, which requires having a roll bar with a built-in harness bar. Also, I won't be able to use a HANS device with an OEM 3 point harness.

At one point, I had Schroth 4 point (I added bottom later to make it 6 point) but was still denied by Alfa Romeo club for track day participation.
Traditional HANS don't work without shoulder straps (4/5/6 point harnesses) but if you go with hybrid system like mine, it works even with 3 point OEM belts.

As I understand, Recaro seats in 1LE don't have subbelt eyelet so 5/6 point is not an option without installing a different seat :(

What's the hybrid system you're talking about?

Perhaps I'm missing something, but this thread seems very vague. I think some of you are talking about roll bars and the others are talking about seat belt bars.

I thought that seat belt bars are not safe enough to use because they are prone to deformation in a crash. I've been driving Miatas for the longest time and I've had roll bars in every single one, but that was a necessity. I was wondering whether anyone is running a roll bar in their daily driven Camaro and how much of a pain in the butt that is.

I've got a roll bar in my daily driver. it has removable harness and cross bars. a nice setup actually.
i added it because i wanted a necksgen device and felt the additional need for rollover protection.........although the car has a very strong structure, a little more strength can't hurt.
i haven't seen one for the 6th gen yet, but i did talk to Autopower this morning and they said all they needed was a car to prototype a bar and then it would be available. you get it with free install and only need to live near San Diego.

Another safety option is a new HANS that works with 3 point belt
