What's up with DRL'S

Right i have HID headlamps but the DRL'S don't seem to replace the fog lights. It's the other way around

When i set it to Auto only the bottom two lights the fog lamps come on. Nothing else comes on. The DRL" do not come on at all. That is why I'm confused. The only way i can get the DRL"S to come on is to turn the knob to parking. Then both fog lights and the DRL'S come on. I'm beginning to think someone rewired something..

I think your calling the halos your DRLs. They are not. You don’t have fog lights. What you are calling the fog lights are the DRLs.

Front Fog Lamps

For vehicles with front fog lamps, the button is on the exterior lamp control, on the outboard side of the steering wheel.

The ignition must be turned to ON/RUN to turn on the fog lamps.

#(Front Fog Lamps)
Press to turn the fog lamps on or off. An indicator light on the instrument cluster comes on when the fog lamps are on.

The fog lamps come on together with the parking and sidemarker lamps.

If the high-beam headlamps are turned on, the fog lamps will turn off. If the high-beam headlamps are turned off, the fog lamps will turn back on again.

For vehicles with High Intensity Discharge (HID) headlamps, the Daytime Running Lamps (DRL) replace the fog lamps.

Some localities have laws that require the headlamps to be on along with the fog lamps.

From my 1st reply. Color of your SS emblems? HID headlights with halos? What are you calling, thinking the DRLs are to be? Iirc, applying the parking brake will turn the DRLs off, at least for a manual trans.

Just look at the option label in the trunk....if it doesn't have T3U you don't have fog lights!

I have a 2010 SS, I purchased some P13 or P13W bulbs (cant remember, been 3 years ago) and the ones i bought wouldn't fit, it almost would, but didn't. When I look at phasetek all their P13 bulbs say for RS packaged camaro's, which I don't believe I have. Can someone point me to the correct location of just the standard 2010 SS DRI. Thank you in advance.


I do have the Square exhaust cutouts in the end, but I dont believe that makes it an RS

P13W I ordered from Amazon to match my other lights, I bought different ones and they all fit.
maybe instead of DRL search for fog P13W
