Neat idea. Anyone know if they come in any colors besides chrome and black? I'd like SIM to match my stripes, I hate that gold bow-tie. It's the same thing an Astro Van has for pete's sake. haha

I bought some Black door sills from them and last I heard they were waiting on GM to approve some of their other products on their site to be an official license GM product, so I am not sure you can get them yet. If I am wrong, let me know as I wanted to order some either in Black or Chrome. Also wanted to order a couple other items that had not been released yet by them.

Here is a picture of my front Bow Tie, I sanded the gold part and painted it black, then I put the red pin strip around the edge. It sort of resembles the Bumble Bee Bow Tie. It took me about two hours to do.

I put dark window tint on my bowties and side markers. went to car show to day and most loved the look. gust need blow dryer and small hoby knife. take youre time. cant fig camera out for pics sorry.

What grade of sandpaper and what type of paint ?

The pics on the link from the original post look good, but the bow ties look a little limp if you look closely. I would totally consider these once everything is fine tuned.

The Bowtie is a nice subtle touch, I'm going to do something like that but I think I might try to lay it down the way stripes are done. Nice job GP

Here are the Black door sills I bought from Defenderworx. They are just a protective plate or scuff plate that goes on the inner bottom door jam...

220 wet/dry sandpaper and Dupli-Color High Gloss Acrylic Enamel paint. I blacked out the back as well, but did not put the red outline. I just thought that the front needed a little more to bring it to life and set it apart from the black grill.
