2011/2012 Camaro Z28 Sheds Some Camo - Shows Grille, Front Lip Spoiler and Cowl Shape

Reported on HOMEPAGE.

The 2011/2012 Camaro Z28 prototypes have lost some of its front end camouflage, exposing the grille, new lower front fascia (which now features a front lip spoiler which extends out very aggressively). The shape and size of the aggressive hood cowl (with scoops) can also be made out in the photos. To our eyes, it looks like there may be a scoop at the front of the cowl and 4 inlet scoops in the middle of the cowl. The silver hood pins could be there just for testing purposes.

A set of 20-inch wheels, wrapped in Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar G:2 tires appear on the Z28 prototype and the brakes are those from the Cadillac CTS-V.

While the photos don't show it, the photographer also noticed a few pieces of body-colored tape across the trunk lid on this prototype, which may be covering the fastener points for a rear spoiler.

It appears that this particular Camaro is similar to the Camaros spotted recently by one of our members in the San Diego area.

I like the lower grill and that front spoiler is pretty aggressive! Blacked-out center and body color outer? I think so!

It looks like some sort of ram air induction hood because if you look at the second pic you can see either a line of a crease at the of the "bump". It could just be becasue of how messed up the cover is.

I think the 4 scoops is an optical illusion. It's seems funny that they are covering up all the emblems. This one doesn't even have a CAMARO emblem on the side ????

And I think your right about the blacked out center and colored outer, very nice!

Judging by the hood cover, the induction should be fully functional!!! I see four type vents in the hood cover maybe for exhausting hot air from the engine compartment. Starting to take it's final form. My money is on T2 Bee. Now, just build the bloody car!!! Oh yeah.......Dear Santa, please put in a LS7 motor and if there are none left a LS3 Hot Cam.

They are certainly taking air flow to engine compartment very seriously for cooling purpose, which is a great thing.
This is going to be a nice car...
