The above strap will not work on a ZL1 the sub bumper is too low to come out though the plate opening. I will have to see what the 13 car looks like. Using a strap will work but to get the hook up into the plate, it needs a strong thick rod, so as not to bend.
Ours are made for the Z28 and 1LE SS. 2014

Since Balues' post was about his MY13 1LE, my post was correct.

John, I can appreciated what you are trying to do for the community, but have noticed in your responses that you don't read all of the details before responding....(on more than a handful of occasions)

I read it, many want it for the ZL1 also, and on the 13 s it needs to come up into the opening. The plate is lower on the 14s so no need to cut the opening. By the way he asked me to help him. If you want to cut the plastic out, the strap will work on the ZL1 also, but that electrical with convoluted tubing should not be under the strap or ad more spacers.

With the 13 not having the door for one its a challenge for a receiver type.

Wanna use mine to prototype?
We are working on the 12/13 tow hook receivers now, they will be in stock soon!

Our kit also now has a rear trunk mount to store them when not in use.

We now have front and rear tow hook receivers for the 12 and 13 1LE in STOCK! To install the rear receiver the rear bumper has to be removed on 12 and 13 year model, it is easy to be removed. 14 on no need to remove either front or rear bumper.

sorry I must be missing something. I have a 14 SS and popped open the front little black door, only to find solid metal. Am I supposed to drill this out or what?
I am only interested in the front hook, as simple as possible. thanks
EDIT
OK so I found the instructions for drilling etc., which is less hassle to install, front or rear?

Yes you have to drill out the crash bar and install receiver from wheel well. The rear is easier than the front on a 14 15. Rear is less work to install.
