Don't get me wrong, HE will do fine, I agree just needs to get use to those tires, and get them warmed up well. I recomended to paddle shift in the burnout so he can get into second and really get them spinning.

Also do not use the paddle shifters when racing, let the computer do the work for you.

Also, tire PSI recomendation.

Other big issue is since it is an aoutmatice we are fighting the open diff. rear end and getting GREAT traction from both sides is sometimes difficult.

I t.hink I do need to get the tires warmed up a little bit more. What I've been doing is coming up out of the water, put it in first gear, and let it rip. Coming up to the starting line, I'll put it in Sport mode with all traction control off. I've been reving between 800 and 1500 rim at lanch. I'd be grateful for any other tIps

See my above post about for some of those tips.

RECAP:

Turn everything off, back into the water box, pull forward, put in sport mode, paddle shift 1st gear, left foot on brake, right foot on gas, start tires spinning, get to 6000 rpms, paddle shift into 2nd, rev to 6000 rpms', keep spinning for a good 2 - 3 seconds, slowly release brake and reduce power, moving forward to line, hold paddle shifeter down until it back in S mode, pull to line, get both lights turned on, rev to no more than 1000 rpm's, left foot on brake, right foot on gas, leave on last yellow, by releasing brake and flooring the gas, let the computer do the shifting.

Good luck.

Tire PSI around 18 - 19 lbs.
