The four round spacers go between the plenum cover and the manifold. Put rtv on top of the spacers and line them up with the holes on the plenum cover. The rtv will hold them on on the cover while you put the cover on top of the plenum spacer.

its easy. however , i torqued the bolts to 13 ftlbs with the intetion of going to 18 after that but the plenmum cover couldnt handle it and cracked. and then i had no idea what those 4 roung things on the zip tie were for so i left them off. the only part that gave me trouble was the plenum spacer/cover obviously and the fact that its a very tight fit to get everything back in.

btw found the plenum cover pn 12595766 still no luck with the gasket though. i can fing drawings of it but no pn

You can use RTV instead of the gasket if you like...

But I'll see if I can find that part number just in case...

Maybe the thread title should be "another insulator installer fail".

You can't just leave parts off.

I still don't even have mine back together. I figured out where everything goes. And yes those 4 round spacers go between the IM and plenum cover. Now I literally can NOT get the IM to bolt back down. bolts just arent going in. Not too mention the far left bolt on the IM that doesnt bolt into anything... Cant seem to find that little metal piece it was holding down. Nor can I remember where that little black clip thing on the left side clipped too. Don't even know if it matters. Really none of it matters if I cant even get the IM back on haha.

Email steve, he will resend you the spacer. These spacer install is one of the easiest to do. There are tons of DIY on this forum from mace to tracy's. They all install the same.

I will give you a hint. If you can, just ditch the gasket maker aside and order another OEM gasket. Weather that be for the plenum or the insulator. Install one gasket for each side and you will have almost guaranteed leak free fitment. Sometimes these gasket makers can be tricky and messy, but it work as long as you follow direction. I like to use 5 minute right stuff when I have to use one.

Also, if help is needed, we are only an email away. instant contact mean instant, ask anyone who email me LOL!
