Metra problems-flashing LCD

My blue lcd flashes as well! But Im in the Chicago area and my theory is cold weather messes with it. I had it installed at the end of February of this year and on cold starts it would flash, it was good when it got warm and now thats its cold again its flashing again & it does irritate me but after the car is warm it stops...its so weird. I really dont wanna go thru the hastle of replacing it

Then why did mine start flashing in August
