It looks easy, but you know how it goes, its usually not as easy as it looks. I would prefer to do it myself though.

Thanks for the picture. I am still waiting to hear from someone who has actually replaced one. I saw a Youtube video, not on a Camaro, of a guy changing one. From what I saw I would probably give it a 6/10, just because I don't like working on the car unless I have to. But I definitely prefer to do any work that I can possibly do myself.

I replaced mine with new spark plugs at around 70k. Easy to replace.

And I know those guys meant to say it takes a 1/2" drive on the tensioner.

Thanks for the info. Replaced it as a precaution I assume, no problem with the belt at the time?

The old belt still looked in good shape. Just replaced it as a precaution.

I agree those are the best. However they are called Continental Elites now. Goodyear's belts were bought out.

Are you going to change the timing belt at 100K as well?

Timing chain for the cams? If that is the one you are talking about, that would be a NO. Checking into the maintenance list now to compile the list of items to purchase before next spring.

125k on my stock belt. I'll have it changed when I install my supercharger.

Thanks for the info, would like to hear how it goes with the supercharger kit. The install doesn't seem like it would be too hard, except removing the front fascia to install the intercooler.

It's a good 2 days worth of work. Hardest part was the power steering relocate. Just need to take your time and follow the instructions.
