2010 Camaro L99 vs 2007 Subaru Impreza STI

So me and my friend from work are going to the track on Friday. I was wondering who you guys think would win between my 2010 Camaro SS L99 with CAI Inc Cold air intake, Kooks full exhaust 1 7/8 headers to tips and a tune. Compared to his 2007 Subaru Impreza STI with a single turbo which he told me is making 370 to the wheels. Let me know if I am in over my head before I guarantee something.

Well, he's car weighs less, puts as much power to the wheels AND it's AWD. He'll have a distinct advantage I would think. It will still be fun though and that's the real point. Good luck and enjoy!!!

My money is on you, Tree his a$$ and get a good launch and bet you will stay with him and pull away on the top end. Good luck!

All you have to do is match or beat him in the launch and 60ft. After that he won't stand a chance.

Messing around with turbo charged cars can be dangerous. They can make so much horsepower with little investment compared to N/A. Let us know how it goes.

370 whp and 3300lbs or 370 whp(maybe) and 3900 lbs, hmmmm
If the STI really has 370whp and can launch, its not going to be good.

Everyone forgets about lowend torque and usable power curve, pluse the aero of the camaro is better! Just becuase he says he has 370 at peak does not mean he has a good torque curve, were the LSX engines has awesome power curves with a solid pull through the hole RPM range. The AWD is not going to help ethier!

Don't say "maybe". 95% of L99's with those mods are 370-375 rwhp. Don't forget about the 39x lb/ft. of torque. That's what wins races.

It'll be close though if he has 370 rwhp (STi).

If he really is at 370awhp you better hang with him off the line. He has short gearing and believe me when I tell you this, at that power level the Sti is still making a very nice torque curve. It would really help to know what turbo he is running cause it's not stock.

Sorry but I think you are over your head on this one. Your best shot is to catch him on top end.

If you aren't with him at 60' you will most likely never take him. Now in a half mile it's another story, but for 1/4 an impreza with 370 WHP is going to win 9 out of 10 times.
