A chip in my paint

So get off work and, like I do everyday, do a general overlook of my car before I head home. I check for dents, dings and scretches.

And would you look at that, someone or something hit my car between where the door meets the rear panel.

To somebody just looking at the car will not see it, but to me its a damn eyesore.

I dont know if the paint is thin in this area or what, but its down to the metal for sure.

Anybody know how much this would cost? Would they have to repaint the entire door or just the damaged area? Could I get lucky and go to the dealership and see if i can say "Yeah uhh the paint just "came" off while I was washing it..."?

I honestly dont think I can buy some sort of DIY kit because, I cant see myself making it look decent, and I would rather leave it to the pros, rather than making things more messed up than it already is.

Any advice or feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

If it is small try this. I used it on my Vette and it works very well. Planning on buying a kit for my Camaro.

try your insurance, it should cover the cost of the windshield. Usually glass is covered in full.
