I've been modifying and working on cars for many many years and I know parts don't fit perfectly but the fitment usually gets better as the price goes up. Not in this case I guess.
I totally understand. It can be dissapointing and annoying. I learned to just cut my losses and get things to that point where I'm happy with it. (modifying something that shouldn't need to be modified)

LOL...I thought we were all lottery winners here. If you want great headers one of our vendors here now carries Big Flow Exhaust. 304 stainless / polished. Prices are lower than kooks.

Thumbs down

I cancelled my order for this catback. There is no reason the customer should have to modify a catback to "make" it fit. And for SW to say it was damaged in shipping is just a cop out.

It could be the car and not the catback. Ever notice how some have to clearance for headers while others don't?

Sucks you are having problems but SW are just as good if not better than ARH or KOOKS. Don't give up on them over something like this. I know it can be aggrevating but they are a good company and make very good exhaust products.

Normally SW has top notch customer service... I'm surprised they didn't work with you...

FWIW. I've had ARH on my car since day one. I also had some alignment problems initially, but once we tweaked it all, I've not had a single problem.

FWIW, If you are looking for another option....

Stainless Works Would be Glad to help with any issues that arise.

When a issue comes about there are a few things that need to be checked first before a total replacement of the product. You have to understand that not everyone is a skilled mechanic and not every car is absolutely the same. We have to jump through a couple hoops to figure out exactly what is wrong. IF IT IS THE PRODUCT, WE SWAP IT OUT!

After speaking with Nutro i did tell him to check the hangers and try to see if he could bend them to make the tips level. The hangers are really easy to bend and this would keep him from having to send the exhaust back. Even though the box was fine, that doesn't mean the material on the inside didn't shift and pressure the hangers to bend. Anything can happen in transit; we've seen it all!

NUTRO- GET BACK TO ME!
Checking to see if you can bend the hangers to align the tips was only the first step. I never heard back from you and assumed you had it fixed up (very few people tell me when they have it fixed).

Thanks Chris
