So how easily could I bolt on a IPF super charger onto my LFX? What tools would I need or would I be better off going with an SS. I'm currently in Italy so mechanics with the know how would be hard to come by.

Hit IPF about shops in Italy. Their parent company is in Germany, so they may have installers near you.

Five to eight hours. no special tools. some of the MAF wires can be a pain just solder them in place. Make sure you chase and clean all mounting bolt threads. and use never (anti) seize on the bolts. If you decide to remove something, it should be easy to do without galling any threads.

I have heard that if you contact Andy with IPF he can get you a harness for the MAF wiring now. Not sure if that is accurate or not but that would be a nice change.
