zaino after repainting.How soon?

A little background.
on sept 30,I spend all day detailing my wife's CGM 2ss/rs to get it looking great to take to nascar race in KC the following weekend.coat of z5 then coat z2 thens some z6.We have had the car since june so I had already had it looking good but after that day it was as close to perfect as my limited experience was gonna get it.The next day,she wants drive it to work(has a monte carlo as DD)to show it off.Long story short she calls 5 min later and has plowed into an 8pt missouri whitetail.set off air bags passenger quarter, hood, front ,radiator are toast. The car is supposed to be ready by next week. How long should I wait to start the zaino process again?thanks

You can wax after 24 hours and it won't hurt anything.

Personally, I'd wait a couple of weeks.

If you don't need to drive the Camaro, (you wife has a daily driver?) once home, I'd give it a good bath, and park it, if possible. It seems there's no need to drive the car daily, so I'd let it sit, and allow the paint a little extra "curing time" before Zainoing.

If you are going to drive it, just keep it clean, and after a couple of weeks, polish away.

What Moose said. I do believe you have to give paint a "cure time" which is like a couple of months before waxing/polishing.

Sorry to hear about that.

Non-Factory paint is very different. It has to out-gas. You need to wait at least a month or two.

Also, be VERY careful with the paint for a couple of months. It will be soft and scratch easily.

If you feel like you need to rub her down with something, you can always use 3M Hand Glaze.

When I got my stripes painted, they told me to wait 2 months before I waxed it. The paint releases gases as it cures and if you wax over it, the gases will be trapped and can cause your paint to bubble.

you would be the winner!

even if painted in a bake booth, give your paint 2 full months to cure before starting something like a Zaino sealer.

a quick polish and go you're fine in about a week. think about what you're trying to achieve with a protectant like Zaino, then think about what Zaino does.

my families been in the business all my life!

It's a great idea to ask the shop who did the paint job, one has to let it gas out and most waiting time is around 60-90 days.
