I think you need to start selling those strut covers. I'll take two red ones.

I'm sure they'll turn out great, just like the rest of your projects.

Had a chance to play with my coil mounts and valve covers. Went with black covers and polished coil mounts. From here I will do my heater hoses and then decide whats next but most likely I'll be staying underhood for a while.

While under my hood I decided to address my front facia at the same time as some of the components tie in together. I decided to scrap my Airaid CAI and design my own. I alread have air intake scoops on my lower facia and was going to weld in the mailslot but instead decide to tackle the functional mailslot issue and have succeeded. I have been taking some pics as I go along but will not be able to post them untill later.

I am trying to see if I can make the needed components in a way so this can be sold in kit form.

You will want to stay posted for this one.

Worked on the mail slut a bit. I was hoping to have the scoop tacked up today but I ran out of Argon so no more welding until next week, bummer.

This is what I've gotten done, roughed out the mail slot, the oppening is much bigger than you would think, modified the radiator support, fabricated the upper deflector, this directs the airflow to the radiator, when finished it will direct air into the scoop that will go to the CIA along with my lower to scoops. I will be building my own CIA that will completely isolate air intake from anywhere near the engine or radiator, totally fresh air intake. The biggest step now will be programing the outer frame and grill, this will be key in making the openning blend cosmetically.

Here are a few photo's of where I'm at.

Worked on the scoop for the mail slot, couldn't do as much as I wanted because of running out of argon but the front and rear pieces are made and that's all I can do untill I tac them together. I did change the shape of the top baffle .I duct taped them together to give an idea of what it will look like, you will have to use your imagination a bit.

I better go someplace fast, I've got a big hole in the front of my car lol.

Acually I've got everything figured out, the only thing I have to decide on is if I am going to direct the air from the scoop to the original snorkel or if I am going to fabricate the filter housing and intake tube from scratch.

Hmmm, so would it be similar to a vararam, but with ram air instead of going over the radiator?

If I design one from scratch I'm thinking of putting the filter housing behind the facia, there is so much space there. If I do this I may cut holes through the radiator support, one on each side , this will allow all three scoops to tie in together and leave the engine compartment much more open. It will also eliminate the bend in the intake tube. Because of this maf signals will be different so further tunning will be needed I'm quite certain
