I left the fold, but will be back...

Sorry guys...I decided to move on from the Bowtie fold for a little bit, as an opportunity came up that I just had to take. Plus, I am waiting on the Convertible SS anyway. I was going to trade my 2004 Corvette in on an SS coupe, but I ran into a guy with an SS with 300 miles on it and found out he had an electrical issue that made me balk. Yes, it was fixed quickly, but after reading all of the horror stories as well as hints of more to come, I decided to wait.

Back in 1988 BMW introduced the M5 on the market and I knew I would NEVER have one - I have lusted after every M5 introduced to the U.S.A. for 21 years, knowing I would NEVER have one.

Never came Monday night. Found a certified 2006 in Silverstone II metalic and I was in lust. Dealer offered me a drive and - well, WOW. It was all I thought it would be and more. It helped that he wanted my Corvette really badly and the numbers came into line with where I wanted them to be, so I brought home my dream car Monday night (dream car as far as exotics go...I still Lust after my Camaro someday!)

So, if you are in Cedar Rapids, and you see a guy in a silver-blue M5 waving at you and giving you the thumbs up in your Camaro - he means it. I will be back in a Bowtie in a few years when I can order my convertible...but until then I have 500 reasons to be happy!

Yes, really nice ride. Loved my 2006 3 series, but HATED the run flats!!! I loved the car, but was in the shop six times in two years, but I just got a bad one in the bunch. They are really reliable otherwise. You will have so much fun!

Nice ride, I'm sure there will be no regrets of passing on the Camaro!! They are not really in the same class, so you enjoy the M5!! You will be able to get a better deal once the Camaro is out producing the early sales and there are more to be had anyway.

Oh I am not going anywhere...believe me.

I told Fbod about it...he made me stand in the corner for two hours as punishment! Sorry, Father.

And there is nothing wrong at all with a Camaro, I would drive any of them and am still sucking down Dr. Pepper's to try to win one!! I Love the Camaro. Always have!
