Who has the Torq Supercharger Innercooler tank with Drag Cap Installed?

Has anyone used one of these or another brand that could provide feedback? I'm Mostly curious how well it worked at keeping the Air Intake Temps down when packed with ice for 1/4 mile use, and also how well it worked for overall street use. I already have the Torq dual pass Heat Exchanger with fans and am going to add the Torq ZL1 Innercooler pump upgrade. I have a Maggie running 14 lbs at Mile-Hi elevation, but other roots style superchargers before/after results would definitely apply.

I don't trailer and need room to load slicks in the back seat & trunk, plus do club road trips & Cfest with the slicks/luggage/tools - so above battery in trunk is out. Only other option is a custom fabricated tank that would mount below the trunk by the battery and ditch the air pump.

Cant give you anything positive for the tank since it would not fit right with my setup and I wasnt to happy about deluting my coolant by adding ice so I returned it for torqs dual pass HE with fans. That works like posted and really keeps temps down.

I know there was issues with it not working on all superchargers and some issues with hitting the hood on some people. Torq has redesigned it and is close to getting the new units out. It's supposed to work with all the popular superchargers. The dual pass with fans definitely helped me out - but I still have to battle AITs at the track since I'm spinning the Maggie so fast and tuning for 91 octane.

Also might step up the speed by overdriving the harmonic balancer - currently 3% underdrive, +3% and +6% shells available. Controling heat will definitely have to be addressed if I persue more boost.

We run ice in our 7 second drag radial car, keeps the temps down. I don't see a 160 thermostat in your list of mods, I would do one. Heat is your enemy.

We use those on the big HP builds and it is a great help....but if you want to really address it look into our RX Super Chiller. Not a hard install.....adds very little weight, and will keep IAT's far lower than any ambient air temp solution can. Were seeing temps in the 30's and 40's now it is in the 70's here.

160 degree thermostat is in all the LPE builds and I agree is a must. Are you running the ice in a trunk mounted tank or engine bay?

Only place where IATs become a concern to me is at the track, and I really don't make it out there as much as I'd like. I already wait about an hour between runs, otherwise just pulls about 6 degrees timing..... doesn't take much if you hotlap. I almost went the chiller route, but don't want to have to rely on AC - I had my AC crap out on me on the way to Indy Cfest when stuck in traffic 2 hrs, once I started moving things were great and never a problem again. Doesn't seem there's any huge HP guys with chillers and alot of controversy when I was entertaining the idea, plus no local shops that have done it and could support it in the long haul. Even heard talk about dual chillers and thermostatically controlled system. If it works great with a few big HP guys I might entertain it again. Thanks though.

Has anyone used the Torq reservoir with a DeWitts/BeCool radiator? Wondering if the added depth of the radiator allows for adequate clearance to the pulley/tensioner if the reservoir needs to be offset a little to clear the top radiator tank.
