Wheel Hub question

Hey everyone, I’m in need of a replacement wheel hub/bearing and I found one close to me on Facebook from a parts car and I need to know if it will fit. The car I’m taking from is a 2014 Camaro ss and I’ve got a 2011 Camaro ss. It’s a direct fit right? Same part? I want to get it this weekend but want to make sure it’s going to fit.

The wheel bearings are the same, you just can't use the V6 automatic in back. Any
SS, or V6 manual, you can, they're all the same. You use the same ones up front, but
I would use the V6 ones up front for a more beefier bearing; smaller hole for the
axles, and there are no axles up front.

The difference between the V6 Auto, and the SS or V6 Manual is the larger center
hole for the axle shafts.

I used SS/V6 Manual ones up front because they were cheaper than the V6 automatic
ones. I have a V6 auto, so had to use them in back. NAPA had them, and being that
I work in a shop, I only paid $83 for each front. I paid $146 each for the back.

Okay thanks for the info. I probably should have mentioned in the first post that I was replacing the front right.

Save yourself the headache and replace both front with new ZLE/Z28 hubs. What your wanting is better bearings. If ones giving you problems the other one is shortly behind. The last 3 part# of good ones are 415
Just my $.02
Good luck

You should do both, regardless. I had one rear one that was bad, I just
did both. My fronts were not bad, but I replaced them anyway.

I got FAG/SKF Bearings, they're lifetime warranted, and they're EASY to
replace.

Anyway, here are the Z/28 parts:
ACDELCO FW430 {#22924740, 23103115, FW409} GM Original Equipment Front;
Coupe; Engine VIN W; Components of Z28 Performance Package(1LE); w/Bearing.

ACDELCO RW20119 {#25954415} GM Original Equipment Rear; Coupe; Engine VIN
W; COMPONENTS OF Z28 PERFORMANCE PACKAGE(1LE)

Will these fit a v6 car in the front or do ZL1 cars have different spindles? These are OEM X-Tracker SKF BR930555 https://www.ebay.com/itm/Wheel-Hub-B....c100227.m3827

You can use ANY one of them up front. The fitment detail has SS in there, so
they have to be the same where the three bolts line up to fasten the bearing
to the knuckle. A drop down on another site to 2010, retained the same part#.

V6 Auto, needs V6 Auto wheel bearings rear, the hole in the center of the bearing
for the axle is smaller with the V6 Auto. V6 Manual, and SS, it's a slightly larger
hole for the thicker axles, with more splines.

As I said, I am running the Manual bearings up front.

Also, dude, for $60.00, you get what you pay for. I have bought cheap ass
eBay bearings, and they don't last three months for me, at 367 miles a day,
3-4 days a week. They cannot be genuine SKF for that low of a price. If
they are, I will even buy a set, right now.

DO NOT buy those cheap ass bearings, unless you do not run more than 10,000
miles a year. If you drive 10,000 or less miles, for a year, they may last. They
don't for me, and they want you to pay shipping for warranty returns. So, make
sure in the detail or title, it says FREE RETURNS. The best I got from cheap
eBay bearings (Detroit Axle) and others, was three months.

These are orbital formed wheel bearings. They do not rely on the axle nut to
set preload. While, there is an axle in back, and if the bearing goes so bad
that it falls apart, the axle-nut still keeps your wheel from falling off the car.
Up front, there is no axle, only the 3-bolts to the knuckle hold the bearing
on. IF the bearing falls apart, the front wheel can literally fall off at the wheel
bearing. Orbital formed bearings, the preload is set when they're made. They
are a self contained and retained unit. They're not like front wheel drive
bearings where preload is set as you tighten the axle bolt, and it's all one
rotating assembly at final torque. They could have put a pinion or dead axle
up front so it would bolt on like the rear, but they didn't.

My luck buying ebay stuff has been terrible lately but I think this maybe a over stock type deal. Don't know if they are recommended for everyday use but I don't think the ZL1 has any street driving restrictions. I hate to be the guinea pig but that is a hell of a deal if they are real. Autozone wants 150 a piece with only a 1 year warranty.

I have 4 from eBay - zl1/z28/CTSV hubs — as long as it’s true factory, you should be good. Part #25954415...

Many of us were the guinea pigs :o)

Check Rock Auto as well they have had a good sale on them recently for the Z28 bearing.

If you get MOOG wheel bearings you're fine. Their "house brand" do not hold up.
I bought "Driveworks" bearings for my mustang, they failed in three weeks. I put
MOOG ones on, they've held up.

However, my Camaro, as I said, FAG/SKF rear, and NAPA Chassis Parts front.
All lifetime warranties. So, I can go to the shop, order the new ones, and hand
over the old ones.
