Question Interior Modifications & Opinions Needed

Hello all,

Looking to spice up my interior with some more colour. My car is black and i have yellow calipers. Im wondering if making interior trim pieces plus the door cards yellow to match my calipers is ricey? or kinda tacky? Black is really boring but i know itll look fine.

Pics of my interior as of right now:

Do it and don't look back. It's your car, make it look and feel however makes you happy. My car is my space, I spend hours of my week in the car, so I want it to be a pleasurable experience.

Take a look at Redline Goods for interior accents in whatever color you want. I started with a blue striped shift boot and plan to order more soon.

I think that will look great, if you plan to take it further I have these custom seat covers in mine, here's a link to the black and yellow ones, you have to message them about an option for the backseat for some reason https://www.ebay.com/itm/11247803336...Cclp%3A2332490

What you want to do would look great! As mentioned, it is YOUR car, you do whatever you desire and be good with it. It really doesn't matter what others think. That's why they call it "customizing".. I hate to mention them, but RPI Designs has the door panels and dash trim you can get painted the yellow you want. They do great work, just takes quite a bit of time sometimes to get your stuff. But in the end, it's worth it. I have purchased from them 3 times.

Well what you can do with the dash trim, I noticed it is cloth like mine was, is take the cloth off, sand it smooth and have it painted. Buy the door inserts "unpainted" and paint it all at once the yellow you like. The dash pieces just pop out, they are clipped in. That's how we did the leather on mine.

Yes, it was a 1ss. Think that guy that bought it new wanted to save the $$ when he knew he was changing it. Seats are Katzkin. I bought it in 2015 with only 5k miles on it.

The interior in those last two images is the GM Interior Kit in Scorch Yellow. I keep a spreadsheet of every part I've installed on my car, and I got this very kit back in May 2010 and the original part number was 92241174. I did a quick Google search and it looks like it eventually got replaced with Part# 22918237, but there are a few sites that still list them as available for sale.
