We're assuming you're talking about the GM ground effects. As Angrybird mentioned, this accured many times early on in production. There were dealerships that weren't using the rivits that came with the kit. They only used the 3M tape. Those dealerships were the ones having issues. Good chance you are experiencing the same thing. It's right up there with the rally stripes, early on. Many dealerships weren't getting those put on right. Enough so, that they stopped having dealerships install any of them and made them a factory install. For more added trivia, the cars were taken to another vendor to be put on as factory, then shipped.

On the earlier ones they only used double sided tape on the install (this was per instructions provided by GM). Now they also use metal screws I believe.

They were always supposed to use the rivts. There were some taking short cuts.

Bummer man. Hope everything works out for you. Who in their right mind would just use adhesive to install the kit? Mine is secured with both screws and adhesives.

As mentioned earlier...the 2010 version of the GM front GFX utilized lots of 3M tape...along with a couple of rivets installed from the back side. Many dealers did not install those rivets. The revised version only has about 1" or so of tape right in front of the wheel well on each side. The rest is secured by riveted on rails all the way across the front of the car

Same thing happened to my 1999 and 2000 firebirds... I stayed away from ground effects kits after that crap.

Back then everything was also bolted to metal not plastic...

This is correct. I finally got it fixed via warranty... And they did this... Metal vs plastic. Don't understand why they didn't do this the first time three months ago...
