Thanks everyone for the good advice. I guess I'll keep looking. I'm kind of thinking about American racing BLVD's. Also Chris 10 your car looks great but I had my fill of polishing wheels. Having 2 Peterbilts with alloy wheels will do that to you. lol

For my taste, the polished OEM wheels just started to stand out too much. Especially as I began to black-out other portions of the car. I knew I didn't want an all black wheel so I settled on gunmetal gray as a nice in between replacement.

I really don't understand having chrome wheels in 2012
To me, Chrome says "All Show and No Go" I'm kind of meticulous and chrome bugs me because it is so difficult to keep perfect for years on end and in my experience can corrode, fade and scratch easily along with taking a lot of time and effort to maintain. Powder coated black on the other hand says to me "I Mean Business". To each his own, but in my opinion, does chrome belong on a 2010-2013 car with plastic bumpers, plastic interiors, plastic engine covers, plastic this and plastic that? I think not... Chrome belongs on a bad ass classic made with pride from metal and shinny things... a 5 Generation Camaro is a new breed, has it's own identity and i'm sorry to say, is not a bad ass classic muscle car. It's a new thing all it's own... |

I like black wheels on some cars but most of the time they just Blend in with the tire. There's a lot of cars on here that have chrome wheels that have a lot of HP's " There all show and a lot of go" To say chrome wheels on this Camaro don't belong because they have plastic bumpers and plastic blah blah blah is a little narrow minded. To each there own... |

It might just be the generation I'm in but for some reason for the most part I tend to like the darker/black wheels on this car more. Not that I don't like some with the light/chrome wheels just as much but more often I will lean towards the dark/black look.
I see a LOT of cars with chrome wheels. The wheels are usually huge and the cars are older (not classic) with really bright, custom paint jobs. Kind of turns me off to chrome wheels on cars that I do like, such as 5th gen Camaros. Also, most all the wheels/wheel covers on the road are silver, polished, chrome, etc. So that might be a reason I tend to like to see cars with dark/black wheels. |
