What 60ft times should I be able to cut?

Hi guys, I'm on 20" Mickey Thomson drag radials. What psi should I run? What rpm's should I launch at? I can't get the car to launch correctly at the strip!!! My best pass with a 2.04 60' is an 12.34 @ 117.2. I really want to run high 11's N/A and low 11's on spray. What do you guys think my approach should be? Thanks!

Seat time. Learn how to slip the clutch better. That's what I was running in my but I was on street tires. Make sure you do a real smokey burnout on those mt's. I would probably start at 20 psi and go from there

5000-5500rpms. Stock rear end (3.45s) and stock drivetrain components. Many passes and no breaks. E-brake + clutch slip.

Yes, this is the recipe (bold) once you fine tune technique.

Yeah. Foot brake until first set of stage lights. Stop. Inch forward by slipping clutch a little and come to a stop on the second set of stage lights by applying some e brake. Pull the hell out of the e-brake (hold button in so e-brake doesn't lock) rev up while slipping the clutch (the time varies based on what tree the track is running that night. I don't advise doing it for more than 5 seconds on stock clutch) and drop the E brake the same time you come out on the clutch.

There will be no drivetrain shock and you'll already have suspension and everything preloaded. I hurt people's feelings lb/lb power/power lol.

By holding the e-brake and slipping the clutch you load the drive train and suspension; takes a lot of the inital shock off the drive train.

Interesting, makes total sense.

Is this what you've been doing on stock clutch???? And wow this seems promising! Can I practice this with less rpm's in Mexico???

Yeah. I've launched every car since I was 16 this way. Lol. I used this method on my stock clutch all the way to 480rwhp on my SS. Idk what 60's were when I was at 480 cause it was on ET streets in Mexico. I'd imagine knocking on 1.5 flat. Works perfectly. Motor doesn't bog and you don't overwhelm our American made driveshaft bolts imported from overseas. -.-

Most passes I made back to back was two and pedal gets a little squishy so I wouldn't recommend hot lapping.... I got 80k out of my clutch and beat the hell out of it at the track. When I put my twin disc on the discs were definitely needing changed. 480rwhp on my ET streets was not friendly on the stock clutch. If you got radials or street tires it's perfectly fine. Higher levels you're gonna have to let the stock clutch cool between passes, especially with slicks on.

I tried this several times at the track and didn't have any luck doing this. Tires would just spin. This was on street tires. Maybe it would've worked great with some sticky tires. I'll never know now

Lol... You took your LS3 to a strip and tried to make a good pass on street tires? You will never hook on any method doing that on street tires. @ 480rwhp I couldn't even hook in 2nd unless I was less than 3500rpms going down the road. These cars make way too much torque. Don't waste your time running your car at a strip unless on radials or slicks. Waste of time/money.
