'10 SS v. 08 SRT8
So I know this has been brought up before, just want to share. I have a buddy who has a bone stock automatic '08 SRT8 and wants to race. He plans on doing exhaust, intake, and diablo tune...which I am installing. Now I have what is in my sig plus parts coming...aluminum driveshaft, FE4 upgarde, BMR toe and trailing arms, Ridetech coilovers, bushings, vmax throttle body, and a sct with a custom tune. So I told him this and he is still hellbent that he will beat me. I know I would beat him how I stand now, It just makes me laugh. While I know there are always faster cars out there, I know i'm just faster than him. lol

Sorry guys. My brother and I have one of each. The older srt8 IS rated exactly same in 1/4 mile as the 10-15 ss. The Dodge is easier to launch.
The newer srt8, forget it. The Camaro Gets dusted. Older srt8, drivers race |

I can argue this one. Not long after I got my SS, I raced a stick shift 392 and I was door to door with neither gaining or losing up to nearly the top of 4th gear. 6.1L are turds stock or lightly modded. I beat those in my 3V quite handily. 392 is quick, but they only trap 110-112 stock, which I trapped 111 bone stock. So your numbers are waaaay off. Quicker, yes but not faster. At least from my experiences.

392's are 6.4L. And are beasts. Maybe you are thinking of the 6.1L?

Ha ha the 6.1 IS not a turd. That's the one my bro has. A hand held tuner and CAI and he's faster then my 12 ss.
The problem is that almost none of these guys know how to properly turn off traction control, so the computer kills the throttle. The 6.1 Dodge and 10-15 ss are both rated 13.1 in the quarter mile. The newer srt8 is a whole different beast. |

Yes, I know this. I have raced several 6.1L Chargers and Challengers with my 3V and the only one I could ever get to bite with the SS was a temp plate equipped 2014 392 Scat pack. Had the badges and all. The Mopar cars are heavy as sin.
