"That's pretty much an ass-kicking, particularly in the midrange where the 392 wallops the Camaro's LS3 V8 by some 100 lb-ft" This time they found 452 RWHP vs. a 420 RWHP from a earlier dyno run. The SS needs something now to stay competitive, its slower than both the 392 AND 5.0 now. |

Only 1100 made(I know some reports have said 1392 made, but the email invitation Dodge sent me to try to get me to buy one said 1100). The base model is pretty much optioned out with only about 3k left in options available. They'll sell every one of them. Worth it if you can afford it in my opinion.

452RWHP? With a 470 rating, that's about a 4% loss. Is this engine under rated that much? Figuring a 15% loss, and that's low for an auto, the real figure would be more like 550hp. WTF?!!!

I like the challenger and I like that it's faster and will put more power down compared to the competition (except gt500) but inside lines dyno is a lil happy. I remember it being too high for both the mustang gt and gt500. Trap speeds will tell us the complete story though. Gotta admit though, that overlay of ls3 Vs 392 dyno sheet makes the ls3 look sad throughout the whole rev range and it's only 0.2 liters larger!

On a REAL Dynojet graph (not a made up one) the 392 made 420 WHP SAE ( I would like to see a vid or a Dynojet print out of this

The 392 will be in every srt8 they build, the package with the blue and white stripes and interior bits will be limited. The limited part is only cosmetic.
