Oil consumption - 1 quart in 500 miles is within parameters
This is per GM service bulletin. #01-06-01-011F: Information on Engine Oil Consumption Guidelines - (Jan 13, 2009)

Guess the cats are designed not to foul with that much oil passing through them. I am suprised. Well at least not foul during the warranty period.

actually just glanced through the document... 1 quart for every 2,000 miles.. oops...
ok... 2,000 for normal driving... 500 miles for "aggressive" and as I said in the past... the HFV6 I talked too was not surprised at all at the oil consumption...
