PD blower on a SBE

Ok so we have all heard turbo cars and 800whp is almost common on SBE. I know it all revolves around the tune and good fuel, but what kind of power are people making on a PD blower with a SBE?

Are we talking truly stock SS short block or what dragracers claim to be stock short block? LOL. Two totally different things. Love all the SS guys with LSA stock short blocks who claim SBE.

With regularity and repeat-ability about 680-700whp is all I've seen. Everything over that seems to be unicorn territory or broken shortly after dyno.
We've seen unicorn turbo numbers up around 1000whp but they are not the norm or easily duplicated by anyone.

Fail at 650 must have been a crappy tune. Find a new tuner, sbe is stock bottom end

Like others have said: SBE (stock bottom end) longevity comes down to tune, fueling, application (daily driver, race, etc), and luck. I say luck because all of the other things could be spot on, and you could have a component just fail (maybe that part was made on a Monday or Friday, Murphy's Law, etc).

Personally, I'm SBE, mild cam, fuel system, injectors, good tune, ported stock heads, and about 10-11lbs of boost. On 93 octane, it made 736RWHP and on E85 it made 806RWHP (before ported heads).

Mine is daily driven, been to the track a half-dozen times or so, and spirited driving pretty regularly. 47K miles so far without any issues.
