Interestingly, if you look through the Performance Supplement Manual, it is recommended that the front plate is removed for track events on a ZL1. Didn't mention it for the SS 1LE, and I did a lapping day with the OEM front plate on just fine. I might remove it in the future just to be safe, though.
For the 19+, the OEM bracket won't need any drilling for the SS and ZL1, but the LT ones need holes in the bumper for attachment. Sent from toaster or something
