Sorry to see that, I hope it will not cost you to much to fix. If I could get the front fascia from the TF2 movie I would sell you mine already painted yellow.

Replacing would be the ideal choice of course, but these stripes complicate things. Not only because of cost but they'll have to match perfectly. Not to mention I have to make trips to baltimore every thursday and Sunday till the end of Feb so can't be without the car more than 3 days.

Understood.

On Thursday I'm taking it to the local chevy dealer as well as a local body shop recommended by a friend for their input.

Is this something you did? If not, take it back to the dealer and have them look at it.
This could possibly be covered under warranty. If it shows no impact then warranty I would think would be in order. Unless of course you know you did it.

I suspect that I did, but not positive cause I can't believe I wouldn't have noticed it before now (a month later). Problem is there's a scrape underneath on the same side where I ran up over a curb that was about 1/16th inch too high. All it did was scuff the paint, but it's enough for them to say "A-HA!" My dealer already said "I spoke to my service director and he said that if it is damaged, it is not under warranty, reason being, GM will want to inspect the part." Sucks, but I can see their point.

I have a scrape on my driver side bottom, it isn't too bad. I've considered buffing and touch up paint, but Im actually waiting on a decent looking front bumper cover to come out. Im just sitting on my scratch till I see a body kit that I really, really have to have.

A GM certified part replacement for an SS bumper cover is $280 + $30 shipping, or $360 + tax and labor direct from GM. You'd have to get it painted, ~$90 from a paint shop, or $150 from GM.

There are nice aftermarket front bumper covers that range from $195 to $300, from lots of performance kits. If you're looking at changing your look, this would be a good opportunity to do so.

Two estmates; $1037 and $1200. Can't repair, have to replace the entire fascia. Geico's gonna cover it minus the $500 deductible and custom stripe. Got an appt with the appraiser on Tuesday.

Theres no way any one accept maaco would paint that bumper for $90 on my estimating system that insurance companys use theres 5.5hours just to refinish with out the stripes at $44 an hour
