cool, but do you notice anything, performance-wise? And since you didn't get any 'codes', all is still good.

I guess because i rather have 2 interchangeable box and have the option . It only takes 5 min to swap it and if later on i decide to sell the original intake , i still can. Also i dont think cuting it would look good at all and would not be sealed loosing performance. The one i made is completly sealed even on top against the hood liner and it is insulated. I may not be out performing the original box but im also not loosing performance while getting the sound i want.

Yeah, or just sell his box and buy the open one that Injen already sells! I mean it looks good, just a bunch of effort.

Yes it may be a bit of an effort but most custom work does take some effort. Anyway i didnt want to sell the original kit and purchase a new one at this time which still wouldnt be what im looking for. The injen open box set up isnt insulated and i happen to like the GMPP insulated idea but i wont spend over $500 for an intake. Besides I literally had all the material left over from previous project laying around my garage , including the led lights, the carbon fiber vinyl, pin strips, mdf board , carboard, adhesive cement , all electrical wiring and screws. I literally just purchased the insulation dirt cheap on ebay i think i paid $15 and only used a Lil over half of it,
$5 for a small piece of plexi glass, and also bought gen6turbo decal for like $5. To me it was a project that was fun ,functional and cost effective while adding a bit of my flavor in something i wanted.
