Winter driven SS
You may hate me for it or you may not, but the 5th gen Camaro can handle snow and ice.
Quebec winters can be hard but this is winter #3 for me and my Camaro's! More pix to come! eB Sent from the iPhone if eB using Tapatalk

I agree. I put some Pirelli Scorpion snow tires on and now it handles snow like a champ. The traction control system works very well in icy conditions as well. All my friends are amazed when I give them rides at how well it handles the winter conditions.

I drive my SS all winter long when the roads are dry. Why not ?
I'm not saving my Camaro for anyone.

Second winter for me! Handles snow and ice with the Blizzaks just fine. Never have felt as though I was in any danger, and I am very OCD about the car.....

totaly Agree!!!! I paid the big bucks for my car so I'm going to make great use of it. I have to say I personally enjoyed being passed on the highway by a Jeep last winter who proceeded to slide right into the ditch, The guy was ok but was sure nice being able to stop in my SS and offer help Traction controll, winter tires and a low center of gravity is great on winter roads

I ordered my Camaro SS in October 2009. I picked it up from the dealer on December 9th 2009. It has never been driven in the rain and I have 13,000 miles on it. Yesterday it was 76 degrees here so I took my tires off and cleaned all the brake dust off the chrome rims back and front. Ive done this one other time before because the camaros brake pads are terrible. I then had to jump in the pool to cool off.
I love Southern california weather, but the traffic, people ,prices and overall economy SUCK. If I could I would probably rather live in Wyoming or back in my home state of Ohio. Rolling hills tons of farmland and actual people who say hello to you every once in awhile.

just curious how the paint holds up to the ice, snow, and salt/sand on the roads. I got my winter tires on now, but knock on wood, been quiet here in jersey so far.

Probably the same as my 2007 Charger R/T. I had a set of Toyo Observe 2 snow tires on it and I was fine. Now, I can remember driving 35km (20MPH) home from work in the morning on the 401 because there was a lot of snow on the road and everyone was passing me. The bad thing about winter driving was the salt marks on the carpet. I'm glad I have a Civic to drive .
