I am having my heritage grille painted next week (synergy green) and considered painting the SS also, but decided to leave it red... The red SS actually means something (SS/RS) so I figured that I would leave it red and get a matching one for the trunk...

Thanks for all the great feedback!
At this point, the tally looks like this: Yellow - 5 White - 5 Red - 10 Custom - 2 I agree with the majority of you and 'm leaning towards the red because I think it would carry the continuity from the red SS logo on the rear of the car. Plus, I could always paint the badge it it turns out red doesn't work. Thanks again! Mike |

Just ordered the polished outer/red inner Sparks SS badge through chevymall.com. I'll post pics when I get the Heritage grill installed.
Thanks again for the votes. Happy New Year! Mike |

Heritage Grill & Red SS Badge Installed!
I went with the majority vote and ordered the Sparks' SS badge in red for my Heritage grill. I took advantage of the nice weather here in Virginia today and installed the new grill and badge. As promised, here's pics of the newly installed grill.

Red or yellow. Red more. Yellow needs a black outline.

"Badges?!? You don't need no stinking badges!"
I think the heritage grill looks smooth and clean and uncluttered without any badge at all. But that is my opinion, I will be having my heritage grill installed this next week and I am thinking of deleting the bowtie altogether. When others see you coming down the road they will know it is a Camaro, and in your case an SS, I like a clean uncluttered car without a bunch of badges and other crap cluttering it all up. I'm not hating on those that do I just feel sometimes people can over do it sometimes with unnecessary things like badges, emblems and stickers. PS: It sure sux for you that you have to have that license plate on the front of your car in the state you are in. We are not required to have a front plate in our state, I hope it stays that way because that thing REALLY adds clutter to the front end.
