2011 SS TPMS relearn issue

Back in February I bought new wheels and tires for my 2011 SS and instead of taking the TPMS sensors out of the existing set of Tires I ordered new ones. I ordered these ones off ebay.(The ones with the long gray tabs) Instead I was sent the other ones in the other pic (Small black and white sensor)
When I had them installed the installer could not get them to program with the scan tool. I notified the vendor on ebay and he assured me they would work in a 2011 since the Hertz were correct.
Fast forward to today when I went through the manual relearn procedure posted on here. I let out about 8psi of the drivers side front tire and there was never a horn until about 30 seconds after I stopped letting air out. Went to the front passenger side let air out and nothing at all. Went to the passenger rear tire and let out about 8PSI and the horn sounded about 10 seconds later. Went to the door to look in before doing the drivers rear and the dash showed the Car with blank spaced where the PSI should be, like the learn mode had ended. I aired all the tires back up and started over and basically the same thing happened. I was never able to complete the learn process.
Just looking for suggestions of what I may do different. I did not start the car when I was doing the relearn, I just turned the key to the on position.
Thanks for any suggestions.

I would say order some new sensors from a GM dealer and never buy stuff on Ebay for your car again. I've been burn with some shady stuff on Ebay myself in the past. Good luck.

The relearn procedure will time out when there is nothing to learn.

You need the hammer looking TPMS that you thought you ordered.

Hopefully the seller will exchange them or refund your money. Sucks because you have to have the tires broken down again to change them.

You can find the correct ones on Amazon.

Buy a re-learn tool for your tool box. The air-down procedure for re-learn sucks. You can re-program in seconds with the tool.

Buy OEM sensors. I've bought off ebay for sensors in the past. They were fine, but I bought OEM parts.
