Pretty excited to have my car working soon.

I bought my '11 from a friend after it had a fuel fire and was inoperable. Its been sitting in the corner of my garage for almost 2 years now, but this week it goes to a local shop, LSX automotive and performance, and hopefully they can finish it for me in time for Ice Cream Cruise '18. It has a Thompson forged short block, AGP kit with s256 turbos, alky meth system, jakes st4 4l80e, DSS driveshaft, fore triple pump system, and a handful of BMR parts in the rear end for hop control.

I have only ever ridden in the car, and havent driven it yet, so im pretty excited to be able to do it finally. Fingers crossed theres no nasty surprises beyond whats visable. The fire took out the PCM of NC swap harness, engine harness, trans cooler lines, intake manifold, 2 fuel injectors, boost solenoid, Fuel press sender, oil sender, but no damage to any exterior surfaces thankfully. It was $$ to buy the parts, but for what i spent on the car, im still in it for pennies on the dollar.

Gonna need to hook that monster to the ground. What kind of wheel/tire upgrade are you planning?

Right now its just getting some 275 nitto 555r on the rears. I want to go to either a zl1 setup, or a 20"/17" setup in the future. My budget wont allow for it right now. It had a 17" set of weld rts wheels on it before, but i didnt get them with the car. The tires on it are the originals @ 26k miles but the rears are destroyed, unsurprisingly. If i have enough left to change out the fronts to nittos or something like that i will.

You won't get traction with the NT555Rs. I recommend MT Street SS or MT Street Rs. I couldn't get traction with Nitto NT05Rs. The MTs are way stickier.

Woooo thats gonna be fun. I hope you don't suffer from melted wiring harness nightmares.

That thing will be a beast for sure if you get it lined out.

Good luck bud.

If you have to run the stock size rim (i am) I'd definitely go with a MT ET Street 2. You'll get better mileage from the 555r, but those mickeys are stickies.

Ill have to shop around on the MT radials i guess. I was willing to compromise a little for cost, but if the nittos are as bad as you guys are saying its not worth the savings. So far there appear to be no issues electronically. The ECM harness only took some damage on the fuel injector leg. Id rather replace the whole harness than repair the insulation. Trans harness was utterly destroyed, so i got a new one already, and itll go on after the tranny is overhauled.

Stopped to check on progress today. Got some good news and bad. Torque convertor took a lot of heat and only had like a quart of fluid in it, all brown. So its going back to circle d for rebuild. Tranny was gonna rebuild as a precaution, but after seeing it pulled out, it will be absolutely necessary. Good news was that major disassembly is done. Flex plates gonna get ARP bolts intsead of OEM bolts and a new rear main seal just in case. Injectors are on the way to FIC for 2 new ones, and then flowmatch and clean em all. Gonna need gobs of new hose but it should start going back together soon.

Who will be doing your tuning after that? I use Chad at the Shop Inc in Lincoln. Will be nice to see this around.
