as others said the ZL1 …. or take that extra 6 grand you save to start modifying the larger slightly blower car and see how far it goes toward a zl1 rear, rear toes and trailing arms, beefier sways, oh and a forged engine...… say maybe some like 700 hp clutch etc it all adds up. Getting what you can afford is nice, but the real deal is how much you gonna use that extra HP racing, and how much does a extra pulley cost to turn more on the zl1 compared to the SS 1.9 liter versus 2.3...……. one comes out way ahead down the road if your seriously nuts to race with as far as $$$$. And always shop around more, research before you buy.

The only way I wouldn't choose the ZL1 is if the PO that did all the work to the SS had all receipts and he had the rest of the drivetrain built up as well to handle the blower. If he just slapped it on with bolt ons then no thanks.

As others have said from my skimming through the thread, all aspects of the ZL1 are improved to handle the extra power and it's not too hard to squeeze more power out of the LSA to make up the power difference vs the SS. You'll just end up with a better overall car(unless like I said the SS is heavily modified other than the blower).

Also personally I think the ZL1 is a much, much better looking car than how the stock Camaro shipped. I turned mine into a ZL1 clone minus the wheels and spoiler, I prefer z28 wheels and the anvil spoiler with wicker so I went that route.

The zl1 is not happening so its basically buy the SS for $28k or spend another $12k and get a zl1 for $40k (Canadian)

Il update again once I actually get something
