why the niners still have Smith at starting QB when he has proven year after year after year that he is not an NFL caliber QB is beyond me. He is the worst starting QB over several years I have ever seen.

I beg to differ. JaMarcus Russell was 10 times worse. That dude couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. Smith has his moments of brilliance at least. I'm so happy not to be a 49ers' or Raiders' fan.

Go Niners! Today should be a good close game. The Niners don't have much to lose at this point and still have a shot at winning their division if they can string some wins together.

Walsh was so cool. Jones jumped too soon and poor Walls was never the same. The back of Walls jersey will always stand out in all of the catch posters. I believe that Clark's catch changed the Niner's destiny and made them believers. That was such a great year and I'm glad I was old enough to enjoy it and show up in High School each Monday wearing our Niner's jerseys after each win.

Russell was bad, but not Alex Smith bad. Smith has weapons around him in the passing game and a good OL.

Russell could hit the broad side of the barn, only problem was he was throwing it at the house.
