Normal Oil pressure in Bars?

Hi-
I have a V6 and just got the oil changed for the first time (1000 mi). What is the normal pressure in bars? Thanks

At idle, something around 4 bar give or take. One bar is 14.5PSI, and normal for the LFX engine is in the ~60PSI range.

LLT:
1.2 bar at hot idle...
3 to 3.5 bar at 1500 rpm when hot...I don't know if the LFX is higher...

That seems kind of high. Are you using 5W-30? And is the oil up to at least 200 degrees F (93*C) when you're seeing this?

Really? At idle? 60 PSI? That sounds incredibly high.

This sounds much more reasonable.

Just going by experience with PSI in other cars. I don't know for sure.

Just did a test run. Temp approx 120 500 rpm - 2.3 b
1000 rpm - 3.4 b
2000 rpm - 5.5 b
65 mph at 2000 6 b
New to these type of figures. Thanks for your input.

I thought the same thing. I thought it would be somewhere in the 30PSI range like my SS, but I looked into it and after some searching, it looks like the new V6 runs pretty high, because of the cam chain and VVT system.

The V6 does run high, but not that high. At least mine doesn't on Pennzoil Platinum 5W-30. Tonight, oil at about 220 degrees, idle was 15 psi, 45 psi at 1500 rpm. "Off the charts" at 6500 rpm. Lol!
