Need a new MMO - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

So I kicked the Warcraft addiction back in January, but now I have nothing to replace it with. I tried Dungeons and Dragons and the Star Trek MMO. Now I'm just biding my time until SW: The Old Republic comes out.

What MMO's do you all recommend? I wanted to try Aion, but would rather have a free trial first.

Aion was not that great. I played the beta and about a month and a half after beta and got bored quick. Graphics are pretty decent, and the questing was ok. But it just lacked a smooth feel to the game. Reminded me of Age of Conan and Vanguard if you ever played either of those.

I was waiting for earthrise to come out but that was a flop, I am just playing poker and starcraft 2 until SWTOR comes out

Yes it has and yes I do. Praetoria is an awesome area. I just wish it lasted more than 20 levels.

Yep. You have to do enough alignment missions (10, to be precise, but they're short like paper/scanner missions) to switch to Vigilante (on blue side) or Rogue (on red side), then you can go over to the other area as a "tourist," meaning you can do paper/scanner missions and team to do contact missions, but you don't have contacts of your own. From Vigilante/Rogue you can then swap your alignment all the way to the other side if you want to get your own contacts.

I'm playing World Of Tanks beta right now. The MMO is designed around WWII tank battles where you start out with a small insignificant tank and work towards higher tier tanks, tank Destroyers, and Self propelled Artillery guns, and advancing your tanks crews.

There is going to be clan based functions where you battle for and defend terratories on a European battle map.

Currently there is the German and Russian lines with the US line being patched in within the next week or 2.

wow global agenda looks pretty terribly done. : (

no mmo' on the market worth playing right now for me either. EQ, DAOC and WOW were the only ones that were fun for a length of time for me. I got 1-2 months of fun out of a lot of other ones. the pvp in age of conan was pretty entertaining with fatalities and all.

kind of just waiting around to try out diablo 3, the new ff online, and maybe the star wars mmo.
