Okay thank you all everybody!! I appreciate all of your reply's and fast response!

If I find out any more, I'll let you know
or if I actually pull it off.

also I won't just "trash" them, I might paint em, or keep em if I would like to see them on again.

You do not have to remove the bumper to remove the bezels... And you do not have to remove the bumper to get to the outer most nuts off the light sockets. The outer most nut is a little tough to reach. But will come off easely. I remove my bezels. (Stored them) and installed a marine rubber gasket around the gap between the light housing and the bumper. heres some pics,

Just another option. You decide

Haha, all I can think of is my wife...

She'll probably sooner get a sledge hammer and bust the tail lights HAHAHA.

Let's hope that never happens.

Good luck in getting them off, they are nasty.

Just a side note on this picture. The gentleman removes the chrome bezels (to dechrome the back), but puts a chrome license plate bracket on there.. stop doing stuff like this, makes my head hurt.

I personally hate chrome... Hence why I'm removing this chrome.

but yeah, that gives me head aches and laughs.

Yeah, I also removed the bolts with my fingers...
man are my fingers sore as f*!k.
not from the bolts but from trying to remove the bezels.
They seriously wanted those things to stay on.
I drove from my house to the Machaik dealership (about 10 miles)
with the tail light cover off, and the bolts off. It didn't make a noise, nothing.
I found that hilarious.

Yup, no need to remove the light housings. Just the 3 push pins over the cover and small hands get right in there. Push the tabs on the inside while you pull the trim on the outside

The three pins?

you mean the ones to actually gain access to the wiring, etc etc?

Yes, there are 3 button top pins over the plastic covers in the trunk - over the lights. No need to remove the lights. Also, not the covers behind the lights that you unscrew. This are directly under the trunk lid. Remove these - small screwdriver to lift the heads, then you can slip your hand in & gently push the tabs while you pull the bezel out. # 5 in the picture above - that picture doesn't show the covers...

The bezels are all different depending on their location - Right outside, right inside, left outside, left inside. So the tabs are in different locations - except the bottoms look about the same.
