Now, if he had just found himself a part time job for a week, even at minimum wage, and worked 33 hours he could have an extra $250 in his pocket, skipped all the waiting in line and just bought the thing retail. The only way you will catch me in a line in a Wal Mart is if it is the line to escape.
You just have to laugh! He would have also contributed back to the community by creating some value in exchange for the money!

That is not my idea of fun at all. I don't do well with crowds anymore. Especially high energy crowds. I would probably end up putting a few rounds through the ceiling. And that is a best case scenario.

The surcharge to sit at home and order online is well worth my peace of mind and sanity.

it's disgusting, but a lot of the craziest people are not shopping for their kids or anyone else. they're 20 something dude's trying to get 40 inch tv's for $200. plus those people are going for something specific, and they aren't going to buy extra things so the store discounting them isn't gaining anything.
i saw a poll on Yahoo and 92% of the people said they were not shopping today.

I've been to Black Friday once. It was two years ago for something. I waited in line 2 hours and got my item. Was it worth it? Hell no. Will I do it again? Pfft, no! I only did it because I figured I wouldn't get it online due to being be sold out. Boy was I wrong. Ever since then I make the rule to either buy it online for a cheap price or just pay retail. I followed this rule before that time and kick myself for it.

Also, I think by us not going to the store sends a message to companies so those employees can be home.

The "to good to be true sale price" for some of those electronics and appliances are usually for the crappy ones, not good products so I just laugh at those people.

Also, I'm with Chase. I usually don't do well in crowds.

How to hug your camaro
Buy the car that you would most like to get beat in. The other guy will always be faster.

I did the black friday thing a couple of times in the past but I can't anymore. I had an accident that involved a large crowd and me getting crushed to the point of being unable to breath and passing in and out of consciousness as paramedics grabbed me up. Any kind of large crown now sends me into panic attacks. Totally not worth it just to get a deal. Online black friday shopping for the win. Get to stay in a warm house lounged in a recliner in some comfy PJ's. Plus I got my sale victoria secret panties without having to wade through Paul's questionable crowd lol.

There'll be lots of new Craigslist ads and eBay auctions for IPad 2's.
