More like 13k in parts, excluding tax, shipping and labor to install, so an amazing deal.

This probably sound like a funny question, but I am considering a 6th Gen and dont know if I can wait for 2017 or 2018 model to roll over before trading in my current ride.

My thinkin gis that if GM offered the 1LE parts to you guys they will follow suit with the 6th Gen as well.

( Really want a 6th Gen 1LE .... NEED to trade in my car ASAP.... 1LE NOT an option yet)

edit:

double posted due to realizing 1LE forum was pretty small these days....
You can readily find the parts to make a 5th gen into a 1LE. I am keeping my fingers crossed that they also make the 6th gen 1LE upgrades available as well, once the car has hit.

All the best,

I love when people quote $10-15k to replicate a 1LE. Every 1LE part you put on is a standard SS part that comes off and can be resold to recoup a huge chunk of the cost. This is especially true the lower the mileage of the project car. GM was still making money at the $3500 price the option cost as installed on the line. Between the SS guys and the V6 guys looking to upgrade there's always a market for takeoff parts.

You'd never recoup even a fraction of the cost.
It would still run you over 10K.

And in the end... to the bank, to the next buyer, your car is not a 1LE.

We run into this in the Jeep world all the time. Buy a Sport, add on 10K worth of mods to build it into a Rubicon, and you'll never recoup them. It's still a sport.

Anything is possible, it's all time and money. If it's worth it to you, then go for it.
