Haven't yet. The guy I talked to seemed more like a customer relations person. He confirmed my problem and said that he would call to get someone to look into it. lol

I think we're in good hands allready.

once they admit there is a problem they are then legally bound to a fix or buy back,, so i dont think anyone from gm is going to come out right and say there is a problem,, a service bulletin may come out

I'm thinking it may be the tune not operating correctly for the heat/humidity, but that doesn't explain why SGO and myself, who are both in Tampa (I think) have been happy with our cars.

Ironically, I have some family in the Florida/Alabama area, and every time I've visited them in the summer, it's been cooler and less humid than it was up here in Maryland. MD's summer climate is its own little microcosm of hell, I swear.

I have family in San Antonio Texas and when they come to Florida in the summer, they complain about how hot it is.
What's funny is it will be 100 degrees in San Antonio, and it will be 94 degree in Fort Myers Fl. But to them, it feels soooo much hotter in Ft. Myers.
It's the humidity that does it.

And I lived in the Washington D.C. area of 16 years. It does get hot and sticky up there for period during the summer. But down here in Florida the heat and humidity last for 5 months.

And humidity does affect performance. When you combine heat and humidity it really sucks power. The amount of water/humidity in air affects the amount of oxygen going into an engine. So warm dry air will make more power than warm humid air.
